UK Air Ambulance Services recycles used postage stamps to raise charity money

26/06/2018

The charity, which currently receive no government funding and therefore rely entirely on charitable donations to continue flying and responding to life-threatening medical emergencies, are now putting their time into the recycling of stamps to raise funds.

The charity is calling for all sorts of stamps, and it doesn’t matter whether they’re British or overseas, new or used. Simply remove the stamps from used envelopes and keep hold of them until you find yourself with a large bundle.

If you’ve got leftover stamps and fancy helping out with a great cause, please deliver your stamps to:

Air Ambulance – Stamp Appeal
59 Mitre Copse
Bishopstoke
Near Eastleigh
Hants, SO5O 8QE

Here at The Versapak Group, we too value recycling, and this is evident in our recent sustainability initiative: ‘Recycle Your Seals’. Similarly to the previously mentioned stamps, please collate your used Versapak Security Seals and send them to us for recycling. A bag of 7,000 seals, on average, consists of as much plastic waste as a car tyre.  We can turn these seals into useful items such as cups and rulers.  Help us put plastic waste into better use than landfill.  For more information, please check out our Sustainability page.
